StrangCG at Cryptic Canvas Gallery

Spirit of Lockett Meadow is a piece based on one of my favorite places in Arizona, Lockett Meadow. I fell in love with many beautiful places in Arizona during my 7 years living there, and Lockett Meadow always stood out to me. The towering aspen trees in the mountains of Flagstaff light up the meadow with their vibrant yellow leaves every Fall. When I started diving deeper in 3D animation, I made another animation based on Lockett Meadow, and it was one of the first 3D Animations that I felt truly proud of and connected to. Spirit of Lockett Meadow is somewhat of an evolution of that animation and holds many of the same feelings for me. It was also a challenge to make from a technical standpoint. I pushed my computers to their limit from an early point in the design process, and I had to optimize the scene heavily at several points to continue adding more to it. I went into the project with no time limit, which was a freeing process considering how fast paced the visual industry can be, and spent several weeks worth of my free time working on the piece.
